Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation providing equine-based therapeutic and recreational riding and driving programs for all members of the disability community on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Our program days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday. We are aligned with the State School system, so are operational during school terms and on holidays when the schools are on holidays.

New Membership Form for 2023

A new Membership Form will be available here for all members renewing or joining us in 2023.
It will not be available until after 1st January 2023 so check back here aftr this date.

General Meeting - Friday 28th October 2022

A General Meeting was held on Fri 28th October at 12 noon at the Monak Rd Centre.
The members present decided the annual Membership Fee for 2023 should be set at $65.
Many thanks to all those who attended and those who provided their Proxy form if unable to attend.

SADDLERY SHOP SUPER SATURDAY SALE!

The Saddlery Shop Super Saturday Sale was a huge success! Many thanks to all our volunteers who helped on the day and in the weeks leading up to the Saturday Sale day! Huge thanks to Marcella!

Sunshine Coast RDA is delighted to receive some beautiful atrwork as a donation from Tracey Keller Designs.
These items feature a horse theme called "agility"  and include placemats, coasters and greeting cards.
They are on display at the Centre and are for sale!

Many Thanks to Sunshine Coast Council

SC Council have awarded another Discretionary grant to SCRDA - this time to asist with required plumbing works! Many thanks to Cr O'Pray for this funding!

SC Council have awarded 2 discretionary grants allowing us to purchase new seating for the clubrooms and a 5L continuous urn for our morning teas!
This will be a great improvement for our volunteers and visitors alike!

Containers 4 Change

Many of you would already know about this 10c recycling of containers program. We have now set up an area in the clubhouse for collecting these 10c refundable containers.
You can bring them into the Centre if you don't wish to recycle them yourself.
Alternatively, if you wish to take them to your nearest C4C centre and have the funds directed to SCRDA, our C4C number is C10473173.

New Volunteer Training

The last of our Volunteer Orientation and Induction sessions for 2022 has been completed.
If you wish to become a Volunteer with SCRDA, our next Intensive Volunteer Training will commence on Tuesday 31st January 2023 from 9 am - till 12 noon at Monak Rd.
The Intensive Training week will continue until Friday 3rd February.
Please come with closed in footwear, sun-smart clothing and your sense of fun!
If you are a new volunteer, please do not use GPS to find us (or if you must use GPS do not use the number 2 in the address.)
