Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation providing equine-based therapeutic and recreational riding and driving programs for all members of the disability community on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
Our program days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday. We are aligned with the State School system, so are operational during school terms and are on holidays when the schools are on holidays.

Annual General Meeting 19th April 2024 at 11.30 am
SCRDA had an excellent attendance at the recent AGM. Thank you all who attended and those who provided proxies.

Sessions Start in 2024
Term 2 sessions will start back after the Easter break from 16th April 2024 for Green week participants and from 23rd April 2024 for Orange week participants.

New Membership Form for 2024
Both a Paper version and an online version of the 2024 Membership Form is available ready for the new year.
You will need to pay for your 2024 Membership before attending. Please also reference your name or invoice number when paying.
FairPlay $150 Vouchers now available!
Round 10 of the FairPlay vouchers opened on Wed 24th January 2024. The vouchers are $150.
If you are eligible (children aged 5 - 17) you can apply for 1 voucher this year. There are 2 rounds per year, so if you miss out in round 10, you may apply for the next round later in the year.
Sunshine Coast RDA is a Registered Activity Provider so you can use your voucher with SCRDA.

New Service Agreement Form for all NDIS Funded Participants
All New NDIS Participants will need to review and sign a Service Agreement Form in 2024.
Please download the form, complete your details and return it to SCRDA prior to your first sessions in 2024.
Any existing NDIS Participants who completed a Service Agreement in 2023 will need to complete a new Service Agreement for 2024 when your plan finishes.
Members over 18, parents and/or legal guardians must complete the form
if there are any uncertainties, just complete the sections you can and we will assist you with the uncertain sections.
New Volunteer Training
If you are interested in joining us in 2024, there will be Orientation & Induction on Wednesday 1st May 2024 from 1 - 3 pm. Come along to find out about SCRDA.

Schedule of Fees for 2024
The Schedule of Fees for 2024 has been set for 2024.
A new program - Picnic@ Laurie's Farm has been added.
The Saddle Club program has had some changes to return to what it was prior to COVID.
Other program fees remain the same as 2023.
Containers 4 Change
Many of you would already know about this 10c recycling of containers program. We have now set up an area in the clubhouse for collecting these 10c refundable containers.
You can bring them into the Centre if you don't wish to recycle them yourself.
Alternatively, if you wish to take them to your nearest C4C centre and have the funds directed to SCRDA, our C4C number is C10473173.

.BUNNINGS SUPPORT WITH SAUSAGE SIZZLE
Thanks to Bunnings, Noosaville for all your support in allowing us to run Sausage Sizzles.
The next Bunnings sausage sizzle will be on Friday 10th May 2024.

Many Thanks to Sunshine Coast Council
Sunshine Coast Council have awarded SCRDA a grant to purchase a new 4 tier grandstand which will allow for an extra 48 seats. The new grandstand has now been constructed with our wonderful Volunteer help and is ready to use.
Sunshine Coast Australia Day Awards
Sunshine Coast RDA is very proud to announce that at the 2023 Australia Day Awards ceremony, we were awarded the Community Organisation award for 2023 (tied with The Board Meeting Surf Charity). This is a fantastic outcome of all the hard work over the years and it is great to be recognised! Congratulations to all the award recipients and nominees too!
